Pennsylvania Government
How state government works
The Government of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is very similar in structure
to the Federal Government:
- Executive Branch (Includes the Governor and Lt. Governor, and includes all
cabinet positions)
- Legislative Branch (General Assembly consisting of a Senate with 50 members,
and a House of Representatives
- Judicial Branch (Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Commonwealth Court, Courts of Common Pleas to local Municipal Courts)
